Very simple soup but yet, very delicious…
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken leg, cut into chunked or chicken breast, cut into bite size
1 can of bamboo shoot
1 tbsp cilantro
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp chicken powder
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups of chicken stock or water
A dust of black peppers
Directions:
Open the can of bamboo shoot, rinse with water, drain it off and cut into sections as shown in picture.
Bring chicken stock or water to boiled in a medium stockpot over medium- high heat and add cut chicken, fish sauce, chicken powder, sugar and salt, then reduced the heat to medium and cook for about 5-6 minutes or till chicken fully cook.
Add cut bamboo shoot and adjust to taste. Continue to cook for another 2 minutes and remove from stove top.
Place in a medium serving bowl and top it off with cilantro and a dust of black peppers, serve with steam rice.
